


Introduction to Dining Etiquette from 6:30PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025
Commitment: one 90 minute weekday session during dinner
Curriculum: how to properly shake hands, how to set a place setting, how to sit with acceptable posture while dining, the use of technology at the dining table, where a woman should place her purse, the many rules concerning the napkin, how to politely refuse food, using the fork and knife in the American and continental styles, knowing when to start eating and how to keep pace, identifying types of cutlery and the location of one’s bread plate and drinking glasses, how to eat bread with butter, three ways to remove varying items from your mouth, generally unacceptable behavior at the dining table (i.e. blowing on food), how to eat cake and other desserts with hard and soft textures.
Class Size: minimum of 14 people and a maximum of 26 people.
